This has reference to your advertisement regarding the above position , I would like to offer my candidature. I am a metallurgical Engg. Post graduate and awarded PGDBM from XLRI Jamshedpur , Specialised in operation & marketing management.
Presently I am working as a head of Quality control. ,R&CS (AGM-QC)in Jindal Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. (JISCO TARAPUR ), reporting to Chief works. .. We are the largest producer of galvanised sheets and coils in India & exporting around 30000 MT per month to different parts of world , majority of which in Europe and USA .This gave me an opportunity to interact with overseas customers and understanding the product quality requirements of different market and accordingly develop the new product along with close association with Production dept.
Jisco (Tarapur) has got four reversible cold rolling Mills of capacity 2.5 lakhs ton per year, used for feeding our CGL.One of the major assignment given to me to co-ordinate with operation ,maintenance and marketing for new product development and establish the process capability of our plant to achieve the consistent quality. As a member of steering committee of TQM, I am personally involve to train the people about quality improvement techniques, SQC and help them to implement the same in the organisation through strict process control to achieve the better quality and productivity. I am the member of Indian Institute of Metals and presented many technical papers in the Annual Technical Meeting of IIM. ,basically related to extractive Metallurgy, cold rolling and galvanising.
Before joining JISCO I had worked for more than 10 years in TCIL(A Tata Organisation) in Production (Hot Rolling and galvanising) ,quality assurance ,Application Engg. & R&D at different levels in the field of Hot Rolling, Galvanising and Electrolytic tinning line. TQM was the special paper for the specialisation in Operation management.
