Grand Opening of the Bay Area Center for Chinese Medicine

January 30 2004--For many people, good fortune may be defined as winning the lottery, obtaining fame, and/or falling in love. But for Dr. Suzanne Friedman, a licensed acupuncturist and National Board Certified herbalist with Master's Degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Doctorate in Medical Qigong Therapy, a prescription for good fortune consists of increasing, enhancing, and allowing a person's flow of life force energy so that good health, fame, success, and good fortune can happen in all areas of one's life.

Dr. Friedman invites the public to experience free acupuncture demonstrations, herbal tea brews, a self healing qigong video and unique fortune cookies at her newly opened Bay Area Center for Chinese Medicine at 650 Chenery Street, (Glen Park), in San Francisco at the beginning of March. Specific date and time will be announced shortly. A raffle will be held with several valuable prizes.

Friedman received her Doctorate In Medical Qigong Therapy from Beijing, China. Dr. Friedman is one of the few Americans certified by Dr. Xu Hongtao to teach Guigen qigong, a self-healing exercise regimen taught In hospitals In Beijing, China.

"We offer a holistic health clinic that views each patient as a
unique individual capable of taking an active role in their own
healing process," says Dr. Friedman, who was recently quoted in an
article by Reuters about the now banned herb ephedra. "No two
patients with a diagnosis of cancer, high blood pressure,
fibromyalgia, or diabetes are treated alike. Instead, we survey the
patient's physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs to
determine the proper treatment plan for that individual. "

The Bay Area Center for Chinese Medicine also offers weekly classes
in meditation and qigong on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.
Monthly open houses are also being scheduled.

Patients are offered a variety of services including acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, and/or medical qigong therapy, and are encouraged to participate in self-healing classes such as meditation or qigong.
